Container logistics AI solution raises almost US$1 million in funding

eYARD, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution for container terminal operators, has raised €800,000 (US$970,000) in a new round of financing, which has been led by Madrid-based Mundi Ventures VC, with the participation of German Next Logistics Accelerator (NLA) and two maritime groups with a global presence.

The latest round of financing will focus on key hires, facilitating customer integrations and company growth.

“With the new funding from Mundi Ventures, eYARD is well-positioned to accomplish its vision for the coming year and deliver the best product to its clients. We will maintain and further strengthen our customer focus enabling smarter world trade,” said Pablo Fernández-Peña Curbera, CEO and co-founder of eYARD.

eYARD helps operators to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency and enables container terminals to operate more reliably, profitably and sustainably through the use of artificial intelligence and data analysis. “eYARD substantially reduces the time and costs that terminal operators need to dedicate to managing the yard operation” added Pablo Fernández-Peña Curbera.

Javier Santiso, CEO and founder of Mundi Ventures, highlighted its company’s willingness to support entrepreneurs and new technologies. “The port and shipping industries require more digitalisation and intelligent automation. At Mundi Ventures we back top entrepreneurs and state-of-the-art technologies, and this is the case for eYard. They are ambitious and seasoned industry professionals with a great vision,” he pointed out.
