Ocean Alliance updates European products

The Ocean Alliance has announced changes in two Asia-Europe products, Loop 4 (LL4) and Loop 5 (LL5), in order to offer “more competitive and comprehensive services within the network.”

Southampton inbound call is replaced by Le Havre in the LL4 port rotation, which will be: Tianjin – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Singapore – Suez Canal – Southampton – Le Havre – Dunkirk – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Southampton – Algeciras – Suez Canal – Port Kelang – Tianjin.

The first sailing of the revised Loop 4 will be the 20,000TEU CMA CGM Antoine de Saint Exupery 403W to Xingang with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) on 5 November (Week 47).

Meanwhile, Southampton will replace the Le Havre inbound call in the LL5 port rotation, which will be: Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Singapore – Suez Canal – Algeciras – Le Havre – Southampton – Rotterdam – Antwerp – Le Havre – Malta – Suez Canal – Jeddah – Jebel Ali – Port Kelang – Qingdao.

The first sailing of the revised Loop 5 will be the 14,000TEU APL Singapura 165W to Qingdao on 7 November (Week 47).

In addition, the COSCO-owned Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced the upgrade of its North Europe – Turkey (NET) service, which was launched in 2017, from January 2021.

The Hong Kong-based carrier will deploy a total of five post-Panamax container vessels on the NET service, while it will update the port rotation as follows:

Felixstowe – Hamburg – Bremerhaven – Antwerp – Piraeus – Gebze – Istanbul – Gemlik – Aliaga – Valencia – Felixstowe.

The Ocean Alliance includes COSCO, CMA CGM, Evergreen and OOCL.
