APM Terminals Poti has said it appreciates the timely approval received from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development for the first-stage land usage permit, as the Georgian government supports the expansion at the Poti Sea Port during this time of national and international crisis.
APMT Poti notes that this is merely the start of the process with the second stage including an Environmental Impact Study and detailed project documentation, which will also require the close co-operation of the government to assure that the timeline for this project stays on schedule.
APMT Poti also emphasised the critical role of government in the third and final stage of the permit process, finding an optimal solution for access to the port during the construction and eventual operational stage for the benefit of the logistics providers and the overall supply chain.
