H. Vogemann Orders Bulker Fleet in China

German shipping company H. Vogemann Reederei has been linked to a bulker order in China.

The company placed an order for four firm Handysize bulk carriers at Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding, according to information provided by Asiasis.

Additionally, the deal includes four identical options.

As informed, the Hamburg-based company would pay USD 24 million per unit.

Vogemann has already two 50,500 cbm Handy bulkers under construction at Taizhou Kouan. Ordered in 2017, the newbuilds are expected to be delivered in 2019 and 2020, VesselsValue’s data shows.

Back in 2016, Vogemann and its compatriot shipping company Ahrenkiel Steamship created Ahrenkiel Vogemann Bolten joint venture in order to manage a fleet of fourteen bulkers with a deadweight of about 2 million tons.
