GasLog Launches Latest LNG Carrier at Samsung Heavy

Greece-based LNG carrier owner and operator GasLoghas launched its latest newbuilding at South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard.

The hull number 2213, to be named Gaslog Windsor, was launched on May 31 and is scheduled for delivery in April 2020.

The new LNG carrier, featuring a length of 280 meter, has a capacity of 180,000 cbm.

Following delivery, the 100,000 dwt unit would start working for UK’s Centrica Energy under a 7-year charter agreement. The energy and services company has two options to extend the charter deal by two years each, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

GasLog has a total of eight vessel currently under construction at SHI. The shipbuilder recently launched the company’s Gaslog Warsaw, while the remaining seven units are set to be delivered in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
